Optical SPR biosensors are a powerful detection and analysis tool that has vast applications in environmental protection, biotechnology, medical diagnostics, drug screening, food safety and security. Biosensors based on surface plasmon resonance (SPR) have shown significant applications in drug screening, environmental monitoring, immunoassay, etc.; however, improving the sensitivity of these biosensors is one of the prime tasks at present. In this study, taking advantage of the special optical and morphological characteristics of MoS 2 nanoflowers, we synthesized a sensitivity-improved SPR Therefore, a new biosensor for the direct detection of chlorophene in real water is presented, based on surface plasmon resonance (SPR) and using a laccase enzyme as a recognition element. The biosensor chip was obtained by covalent immobilization of the laccase on a gold-coated surface through carbodiimide esters. Surface plasmon resonance (SPR) based sensors are used in biochemistry and biology to detect the molecular concentration, thickness and specific chemical analytes. Surface plasmons are the quanta of surface charge density oscillation [ 2 ] likewise the collective oscillations in electron density at surface of metal whose propagation is confined to metal dielectric interface.

Surface Plasmon Resonance - BiaCore Biosensor SPR is a universal tool for studying and characterizing macromolecular interaction in a label-free state. The system detects the binding reaction in real time by monitoring changes in mass concentration at the chip surface; the association and dissociation rate constants are determined directly from Surface plasmon resonance (SPR)-based biosensors are very powerful tools for the study of biomolecular interactions, chemical detection and immunoassays. This paper reviews the performance of various SPR structures and detection schemes focusing on propagating surface plasmons generated in planar structures.

The working principle of this biosensor uses metals such as gold (Au), silver (Ag), and aluminum (Al) to excite surface plasmon waves which are very sensitive to changes in the refractive index on Mathcad programs demonstrated that only TM waves could be used for surface plasmon resonance on a metal surface in Otto configuration or Kretschman configuration. With Rouard's recursive method to numerically simulate light reflectivity in a multilayered system, we found benchmarks of SPR biosensors, and got linear relationships about the shift of the SPR angle to the surface concentration of biological films.
